This circular hike starts at the famous village of Valldemossa, where Michael Douglas owns a house and Chopin used to spend his winters. After hiking up a hill through a forest of oak trees, you will reach the top of the ridge offering breathtaking views of Mallorca. The trail was built in 1883 by Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria. This beautiful circular hike starts in the old fisherman's village of Sant Elm (South-West), and leads you through a pine forest up the mountain, offering spectacular views over Dragon Island. On the other side of the mountain, you'll find the old ruins of La Trapa monastery, built by the monks who escaped from the French Revolution. A unique archeological site, that is definitely worth the climb.
